President's Message

It is a privilege to serve as you r Albany Medical College Alumni Association Board President. Part of the mission of the Alumni Association is to stay connected with you, our alumni. At some point, I hope you will make it a priority to attend an Alumni Association sponsored event when we are in your region.

On behalf of the board, we were pleased with the success of 2012 Reunion Weekend. We hope those of you who graduated in years ending in 3’s and 8’s will mark your calendars for April 26 – 28, 2013 for your reunion. We promise to again offer interactive tours of the Patient Safety and Clinical Competency Center, updates on the curriculum, opportunities to hear directly from current students, and plenty of social gatherings. Of course, even if you’re not in reunion year and you’d like to return for the weekend, you’re more than welcome!

Our new website continues to evolve. In addition to offering convenient event registration, there are ways to update your contact info through our online directory and submit your updates for the class notes and story ideas for the Bulletin.

As Dr. Sanders and Dean Verdile communicated at the beginning of 2012, this will be the last year we solicit membership dues. We are confident that our alumni will continue to support the Association and Albany Medical College through the Alumni Annual Fund. Your ongoing support will allow the valuable programs and services to continue, while lessening confusion around multiple solicitations you receive.

As always, we continue to seek your feedback for the types of things we can do to help continue to keep you engaged. I look forward to seeing you on campus or when I’m in your region.
